THE SCHOOL’S EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

A. General

To provide and develop experiences for a happy and balanced Christian living, total physical, mental, emotional and cultural alertness and awareness, and an effective individual existence and social well-being.

B. Specific

After a time of exposure to the school system, each students of The Gentle Shepherd School, inc. is expected to:

1. show understanding of the role of academic subjects in acquiring ideas, facts, skills and habits, their importance to humanity and how they can be applied in different life situation;

2. manifest fine attitudes, values, skills, and understanding in recognition of one’s potential in coping with the continuous changes in society;

3. demonstrate strong Christian values and attitudes;

4. practice good health habits necessary for physical fitness;

5. show critical thinking in appraising, organizing and interpreting facts both logically and scientifically;

6. demonstrate a strong moral character and discipline;

7. manifest understanding and appreciation of the cultural heritage of the Filipinos and the values of people in other cultures;

8. show love of country and responsible citizenship in democratic society;

9. feel and show awareness of current local, national and international issues and problems; and

10 use the basic knowledge and skills in getting initial employment and making an intelligent choice of one’s career.
